Maintenance Engineers for WTPs (Mechanical/Electrical) – 7 positions at WASAC ( Deadline: 04/06/2026)
Location: At Water Treatment Plant, Different location country wide depending on the plant location
Open Position: 7
Reports to: The Head of WTP
Nature of Contract: Open ended
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment
- Maintain pumps, motors, valves, pipelines, compressors, and generators
- Monitor and maintain service electrical systems including control panels, transformers, and wiring
- Ensure minimal downtime and continuous plant operation
- Support automation systems and maintain rotating equipment (pumps, blowers, mixers)
- Ensure proper operation of filtration and sludge handling equipment
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and recommend upgrades or replacement of aging equipment
- Coordinate with operations teams to minimize process disruptions
- Coordinate procurement of parts and equipment
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations
- Support environmental and operational compliance
- Supervise technicians and maintenance staff and work closely with operations and water quality teams Perform any other duties as assigned by the SPIU Coordinator;
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum experience of 3 years in maintenance of pumps, motors, generators, control panels, and distribution systems.
- Relevant background in preventive and corrective maintenance planning.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in water infrastructure systems.
