Job Description
UMC JV Ltd is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Engineer to join our team on the New Kigali International Airport project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and managing all aspects of infrastructure works on site, ensuring timely delivery, high quality, and strict compliance with safety regulations and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the execution of infrastructure utilities and road works.
- Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure work is delivered to specification.
- Monitor progress against the project schedule and prepare regular reports.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety requirements.
- Review drawings and technical documentation, identify conflicts, and implement effective solutions.
- Support project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Maintain quality control procedures and ensure adherence to the project’s quality plan.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in infrastructure utilities and road works.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree (BE) in Civil Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multinational, multidisciplinary project team.
