Believers International Hospital Project in Rwanda Hits 85% Completion, Completion Expected by June 2026
Rwanda is set to host a major healthcare infrastructure project that will position the country as a regional hub for faith-based healthcare and medical training in Africa. The Believers International Hospital and Research Center, developed by Believers Eastern Church Rwanda and sponsored by GFA World, is currently nearing completion near Kigali.

The project is located approximately 6 miles from Kigali, strategically positioned to serve both the capital and surrounding communities. Rwanda’s stability and rapid development made it a strategic choice for launching this large-scale healthcare initiative.

Project Scope: A Full Medical Campus
The development is designed as a comprehensive medical campus, consisting of four major components:
1️⃣ The Hospital
- 300-bed capacity
- Seven-story structure with modern medical infrastructure
- 12–14 specialized departments including:
- Cardiology
- Neurology
- Intensive Care Units
- Expected to treat 500,000+ patients within the first two years
2️⃣ Staff & Student Quarters
- Phased development (2026–2028)
- Supports both international and local healthcare professionals
- Estimated cost: $20 million
3️⃣ Medical University
- Phase 1 expected by 2027
- Capacity: 100+ students annually
- Focus on training African doctors and healthcare professionals
4️⃣ Research & Development Center
- Expected completion: 2028
- Focus areas include oncology and transplantation
- Estimated cost: $24 million
Total Investment
The full medical campus is projected at approximately $150 million, covering all phases of development.
