UMC JV Rwanda is seeking a highly experienced Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team on the prestigious New Kigali International Airport project.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving efficient, transparent, and cost-effective procurement processes that align with our project goals and international standards.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the procurement strategy and execution for all project-related materials and services.
- Develop and implement sourcing plans aligned with project milestones and budgets.
- Manage procurement activities across Africa and beyond, leveraging supplier networks and market intelligence.
- Negotiate high-value contracts and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, timelines, and cost optimisation.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, logistics, commercial, and legal teams.
- Ensure compliance with local and international procurement regulations.
- Monitor market trends, risks, and opportunities relevant to construction and airport projects.
✅ Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 12 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in African markets.
- Proven experience on airport development projects or similar large-scale infrastructure.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Excellent understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and risk mitigation.
