Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Technician to join our team in Kigali, Rwanda. As an HVAC Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and safety of our clients by installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in various commercial and residential settings.
- Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment
- Identify maintenance risks and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems
- Clean, adjust, and repair systems, performing warranty services when necessary
- Conduct emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
- Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior technicians
- Maintain accurate daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
- Ensure compliance with appliance standards and Occupational Health and Safety regulations
- Adhere to service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements
- Assist with customer queries and provide professional, customer-focused service
- Collaborate with team members to optimize HVAC system performance and energy efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an HVAC technician
- Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems
- Strong understanding of advanced principles in air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating
- Working knowledge of boiler systems
- Ability to balance air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures specific to HVAC work
