Head of Engineering at IZI Electric Rwanda (Deadline: 10/08/2025)

About IZI Electric

Across Africa, fewer than 5% of people own a vehicle, and less than 30% have access to affordable public transport. Yet this is a continent rich in renewable power, where clean, low-cost energy could transform the way millions of people and goods move every day. At IZI Electric, we believe Africa has the chance to leapfrog the outdated, polluting transport systems of the past—and build something better from the ground up: a fully electric future to provide people and businesses with low-cost sustainable transportation.

We’re building Africa’s first fully integrated electric mobility platform—combining purpose-built electric vehicles, continent-wide charging infrastructure, smart fleet management, and Africa’s only local battery diagnostics and repair network.

Our goal is simple but ambitious: make clean, reliable, and affordable transport accessible to everyone, from crowded cities to remote rural communities and critical supply chains.

Backed by two decades of experience in automotive and battery technology, and a proven track record scaling startups across Africa, our founders have set out to reinvent transport for the next generation. We’re assembling a global team of bold thinkers and builders to help Africa leap straight to an electric future—and we’re just getting started.
