Engineering Manager
Location: Rwanda
Contract Type: Full-Time, Site-Based
Project: New Build Airport
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership for all engineering disciplines (civil, structural, MEP, systems) associated with taxiways, terminal buildings, utilities, and supporting infrastructures.
- Manage interface and integration between design and construction teams, ensuring timely resolution of technical queries.
- Oversee submittal reviews, shop drawings, method statements, and material approvals in accordance with contract specifications.
- Liaise with project stakeholders including consultants, regulatory bodies, client representatives, and partner entities.
- Drive the implementation of BIM and digital engineering systems, promoting innovation and coordinated delivery.
- Support project controls and procurement with technical input related to specifications, BOQs, long-lead items, and risk assessment.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: BSc/MSc in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 15 years total experience, with ears 10+ years in major airport or mega projects exceeding 500M USD
- Technical Tools: Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Revit/BIM, and engineering collaboration platforms
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management experience in multinational environments
