UMC JV Ltd is seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to join our team on the New Kigali International Airport — a transformative infrastructure megaproject set to redefine the future of aviation in Africa.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage on-site infrastructure works, including utilities and roadworks.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams: design consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with project timelines and schedules.
- Review technical drawings, resolve conflicts, and implement effective engineering solutions.
- Enforce compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Contribute to planning, budgeting, and resource management.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in line with company protocols.
✅ Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BE Civil).
- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure utilities and road works.
- Proven success in large-scale infrastructure or airport projects.
- Previous experience working on major projects in Africa is required.
- Strong knowledge of modern construction methods and materials.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in multinational environments.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
